Instagram can be a big part of your blogging strategy but it’s not always easy to make it work for you. Tailwind offers tools like the Hashtag Finder and analytics that will help you tackle Instagram like a pro. Thank you to Tailwind for sponsoring this post!

Instagram is a social media platform I haven’t always been the best at using in a valuable way. I started to find better ways of using it when I started my new Christmas blog and it’s Instagram account.

In just 3 months I’ve grown the account to over 1,000. It’s quickly catching my account for this blog which has been open for years!

It goes to show that you have to put time and energy into your Instagram to actually grow your account. I also have found I get more engagement and traffic from that account.

So what have I been doing differently with my Christmas account? One of the big differences is I have been trying out Tailwind for Instagram.

I love Tailwind for Pinterest and have used it for a couple of years but I just decided to try it out for Instagram and I’ve been finding it very useful.

It’s not only a great scheduling tool for Instagram but it also has some great tools like the new Hashtag Finder and analytics. I highly recommend checking it out if you are trying to improve your Instagram account.

How to Use Tailwind With Instagram

  • Sign up for Tailwind. You can try it for free with no credit card required!
  • Connect your Instagram to Tailwind.
  • Download the free Tailwind App.
  • Set up your posting schedule. Tailwind gives you suggested times to maximize exposure.
  • Start creating posts!

You will see when you create your posts that Tailwind has a new Hashtag Finder tool that helps you find the best hashtags to make sure your posts are seen.

Using good hashtags has been key for me with my growth. Before this tool, I had to search for them myself but now you get a list of the best hashtags based on your description.

They often suggest hashtags I hadn’t thought of or let me know that a hashtag is very competitive so it may be hard to be seen. You can see an example of the Hashtag Finder on one of my Instagram photos.

Some key features of the Hashtag Finder tool include-

  • A fresh selection of hashtags for every post, every time.
  • Hashtag suggestions now appear and refresh as you type, whether you include hashtags or not.
  • Find even more hashtags by shuffling them or quickly dismissing the ones that aren’t quite right.
  • Hover over any hashtag to see how popular it is so you can quickly pick the best ones for you.

The other thing I love about Tailwind for Instagram is the analytics. Using their post inspector I can see which posts are getting the most likes to see if there is a common theme. Something interesting I’ve noticed is my most liked images have a lot of red.

The ones with the most comments are ones where I asked questions or told people to comment if they wanted me to send a link.

These are valuable things to know so moving forward I can grow my account even better. I’m excited to not only keep growing my Christmas Instagram account but also apply these things to the account for this blog and finally grow it more.

Sign up now for a free trial of Tailwind for Instagram to get started with the Hashtag Finder tool and the other great things Tailwind has to offer.
