Washi tape is a fun and versatile crafting supply. It’s not just for planners but can be used in many different ways around your home. I was gifted a set of washi tape from Erin Condren, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Washi tape is a fun paper tape that has really taken off in popularity over the last several years. You have likely seen it all over Pinterest and craft supplies stores.

So what is washi tape, anyway? It started as Japanese masking tape and is now being made by many companies all over the world.

It comes in all kinds of patterns, colors, and widths. It’s very durable but it’s made from paper so you can write on it, it tears easily and can be repositioned.

All of these things are part of why it’s been so popular in the planning world. If you don’t put it on straight just carefully peel it up and try again. It’s also become popular for other kinds of crafting. It’s a craft supply I have trouble resisting when I see a new cute pattern.

Just the other day I used some to help keep a print in place on a mat in a frame. It’s perfect for this because I can peel it off to change out the art without needing a new mat.

Recently I got some new washi tape from Erin Condren along with a beautiful rose gold tape dispenser. The patterns are so much fun and I love the dispenser. Erin Condren’s decorative tape bundle is a great way to get started with washi or just boost your collection.

If you are new to washi tape or just want to find more ways to use it I have some fun ideas from other bloggers on how to use it for crafts and around the house. You are going to love these ideas!
