In my family holidays have always been big events. While I have had to opt-out of a lot of those big events because of my health in the past several years I still have a lot of good memories of them.

One way that I can still enjoy holidays and feel some nostalgia is with food, especially vintage recipes. They are the ones that families have passed down and that have stood the test of time. These vintage Easter recipes can be a trip down memory lane or can be the start of new traditions.

While a quick look at vintage ads will show you over-the-top Easter recipes like an Easter lamb cake, which looks adorable but is time-consuming! However, there are also a lot of more simple and classic Easter recipes we can pull from the mid-century, like hot cross buns, deviled eggs, and ham with pineapple sauce. You’ll find all of those and more on this list.

And if you are looking for more vintage Easter desserts you will find that on the blog as well. Because if you ask me, dessert is the best part of any holiday meal!
