How to Make Apple Bread Pudding
This version of bread pudding is very easy to make and you will only need a few ingredients and it only takes a few steps to make.

You will need these ingredients:
- Day-old bread
- Butter
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon
- Milk
- Apples

Before you get started, if your bread isn’t stale you can cut it into cubes and place it on a cookie sheet in a 350-degree oven for just a couple of minutes. It shouldn’t brown just dried out.
If your bread is already stale simply remove the crusts from the bread and cut it into inch cubes.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in another bowl. Sprinkle over the apples reserving a small amount to sprinkle on the top.
Mix the milk and melted butter together. Add the cubed bread making sure all pieces are covered.
Alternate layers of the bread and apples in a greased 8-inch casserole dish. Sprinkle the top with the remaining cinnamon sugar. And then bake. Serve warm with some whipped cream.

Since this version of bread pudding doesn’t require eggs it’s easier than most to convert to a vegan version. Simply use vegan butter and dairy-free milk for a delicious vegan-friendly bread pudding!
Vintage Apple Bread Pudding Recipe

A delicious cinnamon apple bread pudding that is perfect when served with whipped cream.
Ingredients
- 8 slices stale bread
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 4 cups apples, cubed
Instructions
- Remove the crust from the bread and cut into cubes.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in bowl.
- Sprinkle all but a couple of tablespoons of the cinnamon sugar mixture on the apples.
- Whisk together the milk and melted butter.
- Add the bread cubes to the milk making sure all of the bread is covered.
- Alternate the bread and apples in a greased 8-inch casserole dish.
- Top with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Cover casserole and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the cover and bake for 15 minutes more.
- Serve warm with whipped cream.
