DIY Valentine's Day Gifts, Homemade Gifts #ValentinesDay #VDay

I love Valentine’s Day. Even when I didn’t have a significant other I still enjoyed the holiday. I think it’s fun to have a day all about showing people love.

Sure, like any holiday it can become to commercialized but it doesn’t have to. Simple homemade gifts are often the best and show the most love. As a kid I loved making homemade Valentine’s and I still love making Valentine’s Day crafts.

For many years, especially early in our marriage, my husband and I did minimal gifts. I normally made his and I made a nice dinner at home. We got to skip the crowds and spend a lot less money. These were wonderful Valentine’s Days that we both really enjoyed.

Even if you aren’t terribly crafty there are homemade gifts you can make. One fun idea is simple heart-shaped cookies, who doesn’t love homemade cookies? Or even a sweet note telling someone you love them. If you live somewhere with flowers blooming, flowers from your own yard can show someone you care.

Want to get a bit more crafty? I spent awhile on Pinterest looking for some good homemade Valentine’s Day gift ideas and I think I found some good ones.
