The holiday season means lots of delicious meals, from Thanksgiving to Christmas and everything in between. For me, the side dishes are my favorite part. There are favorites holiday side dishes I have to have every year but it’s also fun to mix it up and find new favorites.

When cooking a Thanksgiving meal for my husband’s family we always have cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and rolls. These are also seen when my family gets together. You will also find a few other yummy sides.

Thanks to Pinterest I’ve found a lot of great new side dish options. There are brand new ideas as well as new takes on classics. All are made from scratch with natural ingredients. They may not all be low calorie but at least you know they contain good ingredients, that counts for something right?

Don’t forget to get a Thanksgiving planner and Christmas planner to help you keep track of what you’d like to make and all the other details. It makes it all so much easier.
