I’m not a morning person. I need to wake up slowly and not have too much to do. Breakfast is something I often skip because I just don’t feel like doing anything in the morning.

I know it’s better if I have something in the morning, especially since I often find myself wanting lunch far too early. But I need a simple option that is still healthy.

Smoothies are one thing I can handle if they are simple. I also need caffeine in the morning so I decided it would be great to combine these two things into one delicious breakfast.

This protein mocha smoothie uses Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein to add healthy protein and collagen, both are things I want to add more of to my diet.

Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein is great because it’s tasteless so it can be added to anything, even baked goods. I love to add it to soups and other meals that are low in protein. And if I don’t have time to make a smoothie in the morning and just grab some coffee I can add it to my coffee.

If you aren’t sure where to find Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein use their store locator. I get mine at Whole Foods but many stores carry it. Be sure to check out their bone broth protein as well, it’s another product I’ve used for awhile and love.

The protein mocha smoothie uses coffee ice cubes that can be made in advance which makes the smoothie so easy. Simply brew coffee like normal and once it cools pour it into ice cube trays and freeze them overnight.

These ice cubes can also be used in iced coffee to keep the ice from watering down your drink. Which is a pretty big bonus.

I like to use frozen bananas but you can also use fresh, whatever you have on hand. I found this sweet enough on its own but you can add a little bit of honey if you need more sweetness.

It’s such a simple and delicious smoothie that is the perfect pick me up in the morning.
