This may be a controversial opinion but I prefer apple desserts to pumpkin. It’s always disappointing to me how much love pumpkin and pumpkin spice get during the fall season while apples are too often ignored.

There are a lot of great apple recipes out there though so team apple can still enjoy them all season long. We just may have to make them ourselves but let’s be honest, homemade usually tastes better anyway.

If you have been around very long you know I love vintage recipes so of course this post is all about old-fashioned apple recipes. These are the recipes that have been passed down because they are so delicious.

Must-Have Baking Supplies

To go with these delicious recipes I wanted to share some of my favorite baking supplies that can be helpful when making these old-fashioned apple recipes.

  • Pyrex Glass Casserole Dish– My Pyrex square pan is one of my most used baking pans. It works for many of the recipes in this post and I love the lid so you can easily use it for the leftovers and only have one dish to wash.
  • USA Pan Pie Pan– This isn’t the pie pan I have but I have other bakeware from USA Pan and if I ever need to replace what I have I would buy this one! I love my USA Pan bakeware. Nothing sticks to it but it’s Telfon-free.
  • KitchenAid Stand Mixer– And my number one must-have for any baking is my KitchenAid Stand Mixer! I use it a least once a week and it makes baking and cooking so much easier. Plus they look nice in your kitchen.

Another pro-tip is to get your baking ingredients from Thrive Market. I love Thrive Market and order a lot of my food from them. They carry great brands, including their own, and they have really good prices. You can get a $60 free gift and 30% off your first order if you use my link. If you want to know more about Thrive Market you can read my full review here on the site.

Enjoy all your delicious apple recipes! Be sure to comment and let us know any that you try and what you thought of them.

Sharing is caring!
