Making your own natural cleaning products is a great way to avoid harmful ingredients and save money at the same time.

I’ve been making my own cleaners for years and have shared a lot of my favorite cleaning recipes on the blog over the years. I thought it would be nice to have them in one place you can easily find.

These are all recipes I have used in my own home for years so you know they work. Many of the DIY cleaning recipes you see online contain ingredients that don’t work together like vinegar and baking soda or vinegar and castile soap.

We want these cleaners to work so I not only test them out, I check the science behind them. Since I already did this work you can use these natural cleaning products in your own home with confidence.

These are my favorite homemade cleaning products. They all use natural ingredidents and work really well.

Buying Natural Cleaning Products

If you don’t have time or making your own natural cleaning products isn’t something you are interested in, you can still find safe cleaners. I recommend checking out Grove Collaborative. I love their multi-purpose spray. It’s a concentrate you mix with water, so it is plastic-free.

I also like the Rosey brand from Thrive Market. It’s very affordable and smells great. Plus, you can shop for groceries while buying your cleaning products.

Sharing is caring!

Do you think your mold killer would work on a sisal rug? I’ve seen suggestions on less-green sites to spray it with a watered down bleach, but I’d much rather use something else.

If you can use bleach I don’t see why not. This would be far more gentle. Is it something you can put in the sun? UV light kills mold as well and can maybe help.

Well, I live in Portland, OR, so no! 😉
But if I can catch a few rays, I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the great recipes.
