I love sausage biscuits but most contain terrible ingredients and aren’t very good for us. Making your own will save you money and allow you to have control over the ingredients.

They are very easy to make up ahead of time and freeze so they are ready when you want them. They make a great easy hot breakfast. They can be microwaved or warmed in the toaster oven.

Homemade Sausage Biscuits

I like mine very simple, just sausage but you could easily add an egg or cheese, whatever you like. You can also choose your favorite sausage. I like to use Applegate Chicken Maple sausage because I like the ingredients and they taste amazing. The Chicken and Apple ones are great as well.

I like to make up several of these at once and flash freeze them on a cookie sheet and then transfer them to a Pyrex container after they are fully frozen. I just pull one out in the morning and warm it up. They are perfect with a cup of tea.

These are made using my own homemade baking mix. It’s very easy to make and can be used in many great recipes!

Once you make these you will wonder why you bought pre-made ones for so many years. They are so easy and delicious! It’s also great to have the freedom to add whatever you want to the biscuits.

I generally make my own breakfast sausage (though your chicken and maple variety sounds good). I’ll often use this to make frozen breakfast sandwiches (with biscuits, bagels, or English muffins). Sometimes we add egg or cheese (or both).
It’s so convenient being able to thaw and heat these on busy mornings!

The chicken and maple sausage is very good. So is their chicken and apple. It is so nice to have a delicious but easy breakfast option.

These look yummy! I am always looking for ideas to make my own convenience foods in a big batch and freeze. These would be great for families with school kids- there is always such a rush in the morning.

Oh this looks delicious! It could save you money too if you’re a person that likes to buy breakfast on the go. Make up some of these and warm them up before you leave. I love it!

They are cheaper than breakfast out for sure. I haven’t priced pre made frozen sausage biscuits in years but I’m guessing they are cheaper than high quality ones. They sure are delicious! πŸ™‚

I’m with you, just the biscuit and the sausage are fine with me. I do enjoy a little homemade strawberry jam sometimes.

How are you heating them? Timing is different depending on if you use the oven or microwave.
