Homemade cheddar biscuits just like the ones from Red Lobster are easy and delicious. You can make them in no time with just a few ingredients.

I’m not a big seafood eater but cheddar biscuits were always an encouragement for me to eat at Red Lobster. They are so delicious, I can eat an embarrassingly large number of them.

I don’t eat out much these days and when I do it’s normally at locally owned restaurants, not chains. I’ve missed those biscuits though. Homemade biscuits are easy and delicious so I figured cheddar biscuits couldn’t be too hard. Guess what? They aren’t.

I love to make these with BBQ chicken. My husband loves them and we both struggle not to eat too many. They do reheat well if you happen to be able to leave some for the next day. If I have some leftover BBQ chicken I will make little sandwiches out of the biscuits, I highly recommend this.

I know there are mixes out there but these are so easy and the ingredients are so simple, there is no reason to use the mix. They use my homemade baking mix, which you can make up ahead of time. I pretty much always have some of the baking mix on hand, makes this a really quick side dish!

These are best served warm with a little bit of butter. Just be careful, they are addictive!

Growing up in MN, I didn’t eat very many biscuits growing up. Then I moved to southern VA and fell in love with these sinful, yummy treats. I haven’t made my own yet, but am glad to know you shared this recipe. YUM!

Probably a big savings to have your own baking mix for this too. Very resourceful!

They certainly sound good! I have to admit I have never had a cheddar biscuit either, but might have to make some of these soon. 🙂
