GlobeIn is a fun subscription box that helps support artisans all over the world. It makes a great gift and I’m excited to share it with you. Thanks to GlobeIn for sponsoring this post.

Since I was a kid, every year some of the local churches would put on an alternative gift market. They set up booths where you can give money to a cause and you get a card with information on what your donation is doing and you can give it as a gift.

They also always have some beautiful items you can buy that are Fair Trade. This was my first introduction to Fair Trade as a kid. As an adult, I learned even more about why it is important and have made more of an effort to buy Fair Trade items.

If you aren’t aware of what Fair Trade is don’t worry a lot of people aren’t but thankfully it’s growing in popularity so now is a great time to learn.

What is Fair Trade?

Fair Trade is a movement to encourage trade that is fair for everyone involved. When a product is Fair Trade certified you know that it was made with fair wages, environmental stewardship, and it helped empower all involved in its production.

Unfortunately, slave labor and poor working conditions are common in many parts of the world so Fair Trade is extremely important.

You can find out more at FairTradeCertified.org

GlobeIn Subscription Box

I wanted to talk about Fair Trade because I wanted to share a great subscription box with you. It’s the GlobeIn subscription box and it’s full of Fair Trade products.

It’s a great way to experience more Fair Trade items yourself or give it to a friend as a gift. Because it contains Fair Trade items it’s like giving two gifts, the gift to your friend and the gift of purchasing Fair Trade products which help the artisans that made the items.

How it Works

  1. Pick between the Essential box or Premium box.
  2. Choose your membership level (1, 3, 6 or 12 months).
  3. Each month, receive a credit to choose unique add-on products at exclusive member pricing or receive the surprise item of the month.
  4. Your chosen ethical goods are shipped around the 8th of the next month.

The Essential box gets you credit to choose items or you can opt to receive one surprise item each month. The Premium box comes with a themed collection of 4-5 hand-crafted items.

My Thoughts on GlobeIn

I tried out GlobeIn and was sent the Eco-Clean Box. It includes the following.

  • Wool Dryer Balls from Kyrgyzstan. I love dryer balls. They are a great alternative to dryer sheets and help your clothes dry faster. These are very high-quality dryer balls and a good, large size.
  •  Surface Cleaner from Ghana/India. The ingredients are great and the essential oil scent is lovely. It’s a good all-purpose spray.
  • Soap Dish from India. This ceramic soap dish is beautiful. This item alone would make an amazing gift.
  • Upcycled Container from Cambodia. The story behind these containers is great. They are made from scrap materials and are very sturdy.

Overall the products are great and the box is a really good value. My favorite part of the whole box is reading the stories about the products. You get to learn about the people that made the items and how you purchasing the item helps.

These days the world seems full of negativity. Every day I see someone on social media talking about how overwhelmed and upset they are with the state of things. Opening this box and reading these amazing stories can give you hope for the world and show you there is still so much good. You can even go on the website and see the impact the boxes are having on people and the world.

A big goal for me this year has been to bring more happiness into my life and less of the negative. This subscription box is a really great way to do that.

If you are looking for a gift for someone that is hard to buy for or maybe just needs some more happiness in their life, this is a great gift. You can buy them just a month or give them a subscription for the whole year (there are also 3 and 6-month options).

You can also shop their store for great gifts. The Binge Box would be a great holiday gift for a family or couple. It has everything you need for a movie night.

In conclusion, I think GlobeIn is one of the best subscription boxes I’ve tried. You will be seeing it on my holiday gift guide soon because it’s such a great product and gifts that give back are the best!

If you’d like to try GlobeIn use coupon code WELCOME to get $10 off your first month.

Sharing is caring!
