These days with meal planning we have so many options. You can get on Pinterest and get endless meal ideas or even use a service like Eat At Home that makes meal plans for you.

Homemakers of the past couldn’t just hop on the internet to find meals for their meal plans. Instead, they had cookbooks, family recipes, and magazines, and another interesting option was booklets that were available from brands.

I love collecting these booklets that often feature recipes and sometimes even full meal plans. While they are to encourage people to use their products they also provide an insight into the type of meals people were eating during that time.

This summer I shared a summer meal plan from the 1930s that was found in the Calendar of Meat Recipes which was given out by the Dressed Beef and Pork Packers from Iowa.

I love that the meal plans in this booklet are divided up seasonally. Since I shared the summer ideas I want to share the fall meal planning ideas with you now.

A great way to use these meal planning ideas is by using my meal planner so you can stay organized and make meal planning a lot easier!
