Celebrate Christmas in July to bring a bit of Christmas magic to your summer. There are so many great ways you can celebrate you are sure to have a great time!

When you get to know me you will quickly find I’m obsessed with Christmas. I have left a Christmas tree up in my kitchen all year and decorated it for different seasons and holidays.

I even have a Christmas blog where I share tips and tricks for having a stress-free Christmas. It’s my favorite time of the year and it makes me very happy.

Since I was a kid I’ve also loved Christmas in July. I remember Disney Channel having a Christmas in July marathon and I decorated my room for Christmas and even drew a Christmas tree on my chalkboard.

As an adult, I find that I still love to watch Christmas movies in July. I’m clearly not alone since Hallmark has Christmas in July and other channels also celebrate now.

Christmas in July is a fun way to break up the summer and do something different. If you want to celebrate this year these great Christmas in July ideas can help you plan something fun.

What Day is Christmas in July 2023?

Christmas in July is not a fixed date like the traditional Christmas celebrated on December 25th. Instead, it is a fun and festive event typically observed on different days in July.

In 2023, Christmas in July is celebrated on July 25th for many that choose to just celebrate on one day. This occasion is often associated with winter-themed festivities and decorations to bring the spirit of Christmas to the summer months.

Many people enjoy hosting parties, exchanging gifts, and participating in activities reminiscent of the holiday season. Christmas in July provides an opportunity for individuals to embrace the joy and traditions of Christmas during the warmer months, creating a unique and festive atmosphere.

Throw a Christmas in July Party

A Christmas in July party can be a very simple celebration or you can go all out and have an epic party. There are a lot of fun Christmas party themes you can choose from or the theme can simply be Christmas in July and you can have all kinds of fun summer-themed Christmas desserts and decor. You could even have a summer Christmas tree.

These days a great option would also be a virtual Christmas in July party! It would be a fun way to see friends you haven’t seen in a while or even friends that don’t live close by.

You could even just throw a party with your immediate family or a couple of friends. Make a few snacks and watch your favorite Christmas movie.

Make a Christmas in July Craft

Did you mean to make some crafts last holiday season and never got around to it? Dig out those supplies and get crafting.

You could also get started on some homemade Christmas gifts instead of waiting until the last minute. We all know that’s really easy to do and makes things very stressful.

If you don’t already have supplies on hand some Christmas craft supplies may be hard to find but there are many great options for Christmas in July crafts that you can make all summer long.

Have a Christmas Movie Marathon

Over the last two years, my husband and I have had many movie marathons. It’s been a fun way to pass the days spent at home.

For Christmas in July you can turn it into a Christmas movie marathon. You can simply watch Hallmark’s Christmas in July or pick several of your favorite Christmas movies and watch them over a weekend.

Don’t forget some movie treats like some white chocolate peppermint popcorn and some hot chocolate!

Plan for Christmas

Possibly the most useful thing you can do for Christmas in July is getting some planning done for Christmas. It seems early but it will be here before you know it!

You can get my Christmas planner and start filling it out while watching a Christmas movie or two. It won’t be much work and you will thank yourself later.

So true! I’m already saving up for gifts and I want to have ideas early in case I come across good sales. Often around this time there are some sales on Etsy for Christmas type items shops didn’t sale last year. 🙂

Also not terribly eco-friendly but a tradition, Hallmark ornaments are out and we got a good coupon so may pick up some soon. 🙂

I’ve already started thinking about the holidays this year. Especially the menu. I want to try some new dishes this year, but I think it would be best to try them at least once before the holidays are here. At least that’s the excuse I give for thinking about Christmas in July lol. And your Green Holiday Guide board got the creative juices flowing, so now I’m thinking about Christmas gifts as well! lol

Thank you so much for linking up the holiday planner printables.

Sounds like a good plan! And I’m glad you liked the board. Thank you for the great printables. I’ve used a lot of them and really enjoy them. 🙂 I like that they are a bit more simple than some so they don’t use some crazy amount of ink, but they still look really nice. 🙂
