Zaycon Fresh has closed suddenly leaving people looking for other ways to order meat online. These are a few alternatives to Zaycon Fresh you can try.

Have you heard the big news? Zaycon Fresh closed suddenly on June 25th. This is leaving a lot of families stuck with bills for the food they will never get.

The Zaycon Fresh website just has the message shown below. Many are having to dispute the charges with their credit cards. You can try to contact them at questions@zayconfresh.com and hopefully, they will end up making this right for people.

I had considered trying Zaycon Fresh after reading so many rave reviews but since it’s just me and my husband I didn’t really want to buy such large amounts of meat at a time.

I know people are now looking for alternatives to Zaycon Fresh. I decided to do some research and see what options I could find to hopefully make the switch easier for people.

Zaycon Fresh Alternatives

Most options for buying meat online are a bit pricey and are often focused on specialty meats. There are a few things you try instead though.

1. Thrive Market

Recently, Thrive Market has started selling meat and seafood. They have a lot of great options and even some organic options.

Thrive Market does require a membership but you can get great deals not only on meat but also other natural food and household products. It’s kind of like an online Costco without having to buy in bulk.

Get 25% off your first order of $49+ at Thrive Market.

2. Join a Local Co-op

Many areas have food co-ops that allow you to buy straight from the farmers and ranchers. Because you cut out the middleman you can get local food for amazing prices.

3. Check Your Local Farmer’s Market.

Like co-ops buying from a farmer’s market can be a great way to get a good deal. You can also search for farms near you and see if you can buy directly from them. Often you have to buy a large amount, if it’s too much for your family, see if other families want to share an order.

4. Crowd Cow

Crowd Cow is a great way to get high-quality meat delivered to you. The meat comes from small family farms and you get the full details about the farm you are ordering from and can pick ones closer to you.

Use coupon code RETROHOUSEWIFE to save $25 off your first order.

5. ButcherBox

I haven’t tried this one yet but everyone is raving about it. ButcherBox allows you to order all kinds of meat that has a high standard. They even often give away free bacon, who doesn’t love free bacon?

Get $10 off on your first order with AP10 at ButcherBox.

6. Azure Standard

I also haven’t used Azure Standard but my mom has and is very happy with it. They have all kinds of natural products including meat. They have delivery stops all over the US.

7. Shop Smart.

I buy most of our meat with my regular grocery shopping. I watch for deals and stock up during sales. You can often get good deals if the meat is close to it’s best by date and then just freeze it or cook it up right away. I don’t have one nearby but Costco often has good deals on bulk meat if that is your preferred way to buy it.

Sam’s Club is a good place to get large packs of meat for a moderate amount of money. I spend about 150 dollars for meat for the entire month. I divide is up and BOOM lots of meals~

I haven’t been to a Sam’s in years. Thanks for the tip. We are getting a Costco before long and I want to check it out.
