Start your mornings like a 1950’s housewife. This 1950’s housewife morning routine will have you feeling productive all day long.

I find a morning routine to be essential to a good and productive day. I like to re-think mine a couple of times a year just to make sure it’s still working for me.
I also like to read about other people’s morning routines to see if there are things I can do to improve mine. One of my favorite morning routine resources that I use over and over again is Make Over Your Mornings. It’s a very informative course with wonderful tips and it’s not time-consuming at all.
Lately, my morning routine has become pretty lazy and less of a routine and more of just barely getting by. I’m finding myself feeling overwhelmed again and not getting to everything I’d like to do each day.
In addition to doing a bit of a refresher with Make Over Your Mornings, I thought I’d do a bit of research on what morning routines looked like for 1950’s housewives.
There isn’t a lot of info out there that I could find but I pieced together things I’ve seen and read. Of course, like now everyone had a different routine. This is just a routine that would be similar to a lot of housewives’ morning routines.

I think it’s best to use these ideas as inspiration rather than as a template for our lives. Most of us have particularities that make it necessary or just preferable to adjust things. I like to air the bed before I get dressed, so I can make the bed once I’m dressed and made up, before I go downstairs for the day.
I read a piece of advice that strikes me as good. You know when the voice in your head is just intrusive negative thoughts (you didn’t make the bed! you should clean the bathroom now! you didn’t put on makeup yet!) if it leaves you drained and saddened. If it’s a real conscious choice, it is energizing or at least restful to your mind. Do those things, not the accusing, whining things.

I called my grandmother who was in her late teens in the 50’s. She said that this daily routine was good start and you had to adjust it to fit your home. My two little ones love too help me dust and I’m working on getting them to help make their own beds, it’s fun and I do feel so much better as a wife and mother when my house is clean. My husband is much calmer when he comes home to a clean house and dinner ready ?

I love having a morning routine. I get dressed as soon as I get up. I sell online, so if I have packages to ship, I get those ready. My family sits down to breakfast together. Afterwards I do the dishes and tidy the kitchen. And if my kitchen isn’t clean when I get up, it makes the start of my day rough. Having a clean kitchen in the morning gives me peace. Routines have really helped me keep house better.

I get up early at 7 am. after that I air out the bed, open the curtains for fresh air. I wash my face and brush my teeth. in the morning I’m littlie bit lazy so I prefer to do showers. I’m dressed and made up before I go downstairs for the day .1stly I do coffee or tea for me then I make breakfast for all family members. and also that time I making tiffin before my mom gets ready for office. my family member sits down to breakfast together. after breakfast tidy the kitchen and start cleaning routine. I take break for an hours at that time I do what I want like reading newspaper, watching news , listen to music its my quality time so I do some thing that make me happy. after that I make lunch , dinner for all family members . and clean the kitchen well. somethings about a clean kitchen make me feel good and productive. now I don’t have any job so I make my day with little thing like playing the game, reading related job and take rest of sleep for an hour.

I start my day with coffee and use that time to pray and read Gods word. Then my day starts right!

I get up at 6 so I am guaranteed to have an hour to myself to start the day. I love having that quiet time to plan and enjoy my coffee and make breakfast for my fam. I do it in my robe and slippers and still usually have my hair up in a scarf, but right after breakfast when the husband is off to work, I get myself and my daughter dressed and ready before I throw on an apron and start on my cleaning list. I used to be an 8-5 working woman, and, for me, I much prefer being a stay-at-home mom and I really enjoy tips and tricks from the time when women really took a lot of pride in thier homes.
