Fun Advent Calendars

Advent calendars are a fun way to countdown to Christmas. There are so many great options out there to choose from.

I’ve always enjoyed advent calendars. When I was a kid our neighbor always gave my brother and me one of the little paper advent calendars where you open a window each day and get a piece of chocolate. It wasn’t very good chocolate but it was still so much fun.

I have two this year, because why not? I have a reusable one from Etsy that I’ve had for many years. I haven’t decided what I will put in it this year, likely activities. My husband also got me a Divine Chocolate one. I haven’t had a chocolate advent calendar like this in years and I’m pretty excited about it. It brings back the memories from childhood ones. Plus I’m sure this is MUCH better chocolate.

I’m amazed by all the beautiful and fun advent calendars that are out there now. Everything from the simple paper ones with windows to beautiful reusable ones, and of course there are DIY versions.

I wanted to share some of the ones I’ve found that I think are a lot of fun. I likely don’t need more than two this year but it was still fun to look at them.

I’d love to hear about your advent calendars of the past. Did you get the chocolate ones? I’d also love to know what you are choosing this year if you are using one. And if you use one that you fill, what do you put in it?

I love Advent calendars. There are so many cute ones that you’ve picked. I’d have to say the very last one with the pictures and the Yuletide Spirit Adventures are my favorites. I’d love to get my kids a Lego one too.
