Try this delicious strawberry orange smoothie that is packed with vitamin c. It’s a simple recipe that your whole family will love. This post was sponsored by Emergen-C, all thoughts are my own.
I’m not much of a morning person. Getting up and drinking a cup of tea is often all I feel like doing. Lately, I’ve been trying to add in more healthy habits though. Getting more vitamins is one habit I’m really working on right now.
This is why I’ve made taking Emergen-C part of my morning routine. I’ve used it since I was a kid but I’ve not always stayed in a good habit of taking it. It has 1,000 mg of Vitamin C plus other antioxidants Zinc and Manganese to support your immune system* which makes me really happy.
Most of the time I’ve just used Emergen-C in water. It dissolves easily and with over 20 flavors you are sure to find one you enjoy. My favorites are Super Orange, Pink Lemonade, and Lemon Lime.
I always try to have at least one box on hand. It makes me feel good knowing that I have Emergen-C on hand when I need it. I even keep a couple of packages in our suitcase in case we need them while traveling.
I’m really glad my local Walgreens carries a large variety. It’s easy to find with other vitamins and a great bonus is they often have good deals on it. When I picked up my last box it was buying one get one half off, I of course had to stock up.
Since I’m trying to use it more often I wanted to try a different way of using it. I normally drink Emergen-C in the morning, and like I said I’m not a morning person, so I need it to be quick and easy. I love smoothies so that seemed like the logical thing to make.
I had a box of Super Orange Emergen-C on hand so I thought a strawberry orange smoothie would be the perfect morning drink. It’s very refreshing and tasty. It also only takes a few ingredients; a pack of Emergen-C, strawberries, vanilla extract, and ice. That’s all. Even I can handle that in the morning.
You can also mix it up and add in some plain yogurt to make it creamer. Or a frozen banana would be nice. That’s one of my favorite things about smoothies, you can really make them your own.
