Want to save money or just avoid harmful chemicals? Try making these homemade cleaning products. These are some of the best natural cleaning products you will find.
Making your own natural cleaning products is a great way to avoid harmful ingredients and save money at the same time.
I’ve been making my own cleaners for years and have shared a lot of my favorite cleaning recipes on the blog over the years. I thought it would be nice to have them in one place you can easily find.
These are all recipes I have used in my own home for years so you know they work. Many of the DIY cleaning recipes you see online contain ingredients that don’t work together like vinegar and baking soda or vinegar and castile soap.
We want these cleaners to work so I not only test them out, I check the science behind them. Since I already did this work you can use these natural cleaning products in your own home with confidence.

Buying Natural Cleaning Products
If you don’t have time or making your own natural cleaning products isn’t something you are interested in you can still find safe cleaners. I recommend checking out Grove Collaborative. When I buy cleaners that is where I shop.
They sell safe products and have great prices. Often these days I find myself reaching for these pre-made cleaning products because I don’t always have time to mix up homemade versions. I feel safe and comfortable using the products from Grove Collaborative.

Do you think your mold killer would work on a sisal rug? I’ve seen suggestions on less-green sites to spray it with a watered down bleach, but I’d much rather use something else.

If you can use bleach I don’t see why not. This would be far more gentle. Is it something you can put in the sun? UV light kills mold as well and can maybe help.

Well, I live in Portland, OR, so no! 😉
But if I can catch a few rays, I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the great recipes.
