Summer Must-Haves

Summer is in full swing and while I’m not loving the heat (though this week hasn’t been bad), I have been loving many products that are perfect for the summer. I thought I would share with you some items that I feel are must-haves for the summer.

badger
I’m very fair skinned so sunscreen is a must for me for even during short times in the sun. There are many great, safe sunscreens out there. I use Badger most of the time but find it doesn’t hold up really well in water so I plan to try ThinkSport soon for water.

A Klean Kanteen water bottle is another item I use all the time during the summer. It gets really hot here in Oklahoma so you really have to be sure to drink enough fluids if you are going to be outside. Klean Kanteen water bottles are very safe and eco-friendly and great for at the gym or pool where glass isn’t allowed. Klean Kanteen also has stainless steel pint cups that are great for parties by the pool.

Speaking of the pool, an eco-friendly swimsuit is also a must. I love EcoSwim and Aventura swimsuits. They hold up well and are made with more sustainable materials. For the men in your life, check out Patagonia for some nice options.

Flip flops are my most worn summer shoes. The ones I have are sadly no longer made but you can find several great eco-friendly flip flop options at Planet Shoes.

nailpolish

And when wearing flip flops nail polish is a must. I use a water based nail polish from Honeybee Garden’s. They have many beautiful shades and the nail polish has almost no odor and is free of the really nasty ingredients you will find in most nail polishes.

For the hot days a popsicle is always a nice treat. You can save on waste and make healthier popsicles by using a stainless steel popsicle mold. The options for types of popsicles you can make are endless.

A new find for me is Juice Beauty’s Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream. It’s great for the summer if you want lighter coverage. I also like to wear it as a primer when I want more coverage.  And it’s SPF 30 and works as a moisturizer. It’s a great multitasking product for the summer.

candle

The last thing I want to share is my favorite summer candle. I like to use different types of scents depending on the season and for summer I like citrus scents and sometimes some florals mixed in. Right now I’m loving a soy, essential oil candle from PurePalette in the scent lemongrass and lavender. It’s a nice clean scent and I think it’s just perfect for summer.

These are some of my summer must-haves, what are your’s? Just share in the comments below or on my Facebook page.

I MUST have those popsicle molds! I had some plastic ones and they don’t work very well. Of course they were also really cheap. I bet these work great and hold up!
