A Greener and More Ethical Easter Basket

When looking for a greener Easter basket look for a basket that will last your child many years. Check out local stores and thrift stores for good quality baskets. Here are a few other options you can use, they are even Fair Trade. (click on the pictures to see where you can buy them)

Once you have the basket you need to fill it. But there are some things you may not know about what you are using in your basket. Around 90 million chocolate bunnies are consumed each Easter. Most of that chocolate comes from the Ivory Coast, where child and slave labor are often used. Knowing slave labor may have made your chocolate bunnies makes them less sweet. But don’t worry, you don’t have to give up your chocolate, there are great Fair Trade options.
