It’s Spring, ACHOO!

This my post for the Green Moms Carnival, this month’s topic is spring and is hosted by Anna of Green Talk.
I love most things about spring but there is one thing I hate, allergies. This spring has been one of the worst I have seen in awhile. Everyone seems to be having terrible allergies right now. So how can you treat your allergies more naturally?
One great way to help curb allergies is a neti pot. They may seem scary but once you get past that, as Beth at Fake Plastic Fish found out, they are easy and wonderful! It helps get all the pollen out of your nose and also break up congestion. Neti pots can be found at most drug stores, big box stores, Amazon.com and pretty much most places you find allergy meds. They are getting quite popular.
A free way to help your allergies is doing yoga. Here are some poses that help with allergies
Local honey is a great way to treat your allergies. Raw and unheated is best but it has to at least be local. It is basically a cheap immunotherapy.
Quercetin is a bioflavonoid that has been shown to have anti-allergy properties. It has also been shown to help asthma. You can get quercetin at health food stores.
Hyland’s Allergy Relief is a homeopathic allergy medicine that may give you relief without side effects.
Trying one or all of these things may help you this spring to stop sneezing, they help me! Also drink lots of water, keep windows closed on high pollen days, and take showers after being outside for a long time. If you have more tips, please share!
*I’m not a doctor!!! Please talk to your doctor before you start a new allergy treatment.*
