Just Say No To Plastic!

I’m trying to reduce my plastic even more this year. I already don’t use plastic water bottles, plastic wrap, grocery bags, soda bottles, and things like that but I do still use a few plastic sandwich baggies a year (yes a year, I only use them when I forget to have a container ready for my husband’s lunch), and to much plastic waste from food.

Beth from Fake Plastic Fish is always “helping” me find more ways to reduce my plastic. Like this year we went to using Seventh Generation TP and we had been buying it in store until Beth told me that she gets hers on Amazon.com and they come wrapped in paper not plastic. It’s also much cheaper!

One way I have reduced my use of plastic already this year is I got a set of Pyrex storage containers on sale a few days ago. They do have plastic lids but they are made in the US (a big deal for me) and are BPA free. Plus the lid won’t touch the food and it’s much less plastic and Pyrex is a very good brand and they should last for a very long time.

I also order another LunchBot’s container in hopes it will help me not need those few plastic sandwich baggies.
