That’s a Green Wrap

Christmas generates around 300,000 tons of trash each year, a large amount of that being wrapping paper. So what are some greener ways to wrap gifts this year?
First of all use what you have. I know I have a rather large stash of wrapping paper I have had for years, saved gift bags, ribbons, tissue paper, etc… Before you buy anything new use all of what you have up.
You can buy greener wrapping-
Furoshiki is traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that makes for beautiful wrapping that is 100% reusable. You can buy cloths designed for this or just buy fabric to make your own.

You can use cloth bags. You will find a lot of options on Etsy.com, ReuseIt.com, and Lucky Crow. You can make your own if you can sew.

You can also use reusable bags for wrapping, it even doubles as a gift.

If you want to stick more to what you know, you can use recycled wrapping paper. Some great options include Fish Lips Paper Designs and Crinkle Co.
Curbly shows how to make cute wrapping from magazines.

Wrap Art has great ideas and tips for using things around the house for wrapping.

You can use paper grocery bags or newspaper for wrapping gifts. Just add some pretty ribbons and/or stamps.
*I was given samples from Crinkle Co. and Fish Lips Paper Designs to be able to review the products. I was not paid to post this or any other post. This are my honest thoughts and views.
